Founded in December 2015 by Mathias, the MATIÈRES LIBRES Association aims to help young creators in their transition to professional life.
The Mathias Prize, launched a few months after the association was created, has become a landmark for applied arts schools and self-taught artists seeking recognition.
In ten years, more than forty laureates have benefited from this springboard, some now running their own workshops or collections with recognised publishers.
